Gary came to Faribault to practice law in 1980. He has been in full-time private practice as an attorney since then. Our services for our clients encompass a broad spectrum of legal matters including personal, family, and business-related issues and disputes for them. We have helped our clients in all practice areas of the law that the firm is engaged in. The substantive areas include business law, real estate law, family law, estate planning, personal injury, probate and trusts, landlord/tenant, construction law, and a variety of legal litigation and transactional cases and matters. Community Involvement

Community involvement is an important activity for Gary and the firm.

Mr. Voegele has been a member of numerous service clubs including The Faribault and Lakeville Rotary Clubs. Gary was general legal counsel for Rice County District One Hospital from 1997 until 2016. In addition, the firm has assisted numerous clients with real estate legal and title services. Gary conducted many real estate closings for The Rice County Habitat for Humanity homes since 2005. His firm has helped sponsor internships for students interested in exploring various legal careers enrolled at Inver Hills Community College, South Central College, St. Olaf College, and St. Scholastica College. In addition, Gary L. Voegele has offered pro bono legal services and reduced fee arrangements for area non-profits and numerous community groups over the years. He was also a part-time Public Defender for 14 years in Rice County.

Gary has also volunteered services to senior residents through the Faribault Senior Center with its periodic will clinics, as well as estate planning and substantive law seminars for its members.

Gary was Adjunct Professor at the Opus College of Business at the University of St. Thomas. He taught a semester long course in Business Law for its Graduate Business Management Program from 2006 until 2014. Other notable accomplishments of Gary include acting as an Administrative Law Judge and Child Support Magistrate for the State of Minnesota from 1994 through 1999. As a part-time Judge and Magistrate, Mr. Voegele conducted hundreds of child support hearings in 16 different counties for the State of Minnesota, including cases venued in Dakota, Le Sueur, and Rice Counties. Gary also volunteered as a Mock Trial Judge for high school competitions on an annual basis. He has also been a Big Brother and has been involved in Faribault Community Theater in the past. He is a member of the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church Adult Choir for over 20 years.

Gary has been a long-time member of the Minnesota Association for Justice; has served as President of the Faribault Foundation; and was a Board member of the Minnesota State Bar Foundation for 9 years. He also is a past Chair of the Family Law Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association and he served on the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section.

Mr. Voegele has also received many awards over the years as a skilled lawyer.

He has been recognized annually by Minnesota Monthly as one of the Best Lawyers in Minnesota in family law matters since 2005. Gary has also been a long-time member of the Minnesota Association for Justice.
